Eco Factor: Concept lamp powered by onboard photovoltaic panels.
Industrial designer Juliati Surya believes that solar panels are one of the greatest eco-friendly technologies available that can be used to reduce carbon emissions and hence reduce the effects of global warming. To provide the point, Juliati has conceptualized a sustainable outdoor lighting system that is powered entirely by renewable solar energy.
Dubbed the Solar Light, this sustainable lighting solution is made from recycled aluminum and steel and includes eight photovoltaic panels that juice up an onboard battery pack. The batteries power a set of four LED bulbs for illumination. To conserve energy the light includes onboard sensors that turn on the light automatically after dark.
