Eco Factor: Electric bike can be recharged with solar energy.

Motion Dynamics Group has unveiled its latest electric bike – the Neltron Solar E-Bike, which features a pedal-assisted electric drive for flat road applications. The manufacturers claim that the solar e-bike is capable of hitting a top speed of 20mph with a range of about 25 miles.

Costing $2495, the zero-emission vehicle ships with two 60W solar panels that can be installed on the roof of your garage to juice the bike’s 48V, 12Ah lead acid battery pack in just five hours. The Neltron includes a 350W brushless electric motor that can haul a maximum load of 200 pounds. The company also offers an optional 480W solar charging system and a lithium-ion battery pack.
