Eco Tech: Wind power plant to generate 140MW of clean electrical power.
Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has formally inaugurated a $300 million wind farm near Tangiers, which when complete in 2020, will be the largest wind farm in Africa. The new farm will make use of 165 wind turbines to generate 140MW of clean electrical power.
The project will secure about 42 percent of Morocco’s energy production with wind farms, solar and hydraulic sources generating about 14 percent of the total.
