Eco Factor: Eco-friendly lights designed to save up to 90 percent energy.
Morgan Hope has developed a new lighting range that aims to cut energy use by as much as 90 percent. The system is based on the use of the company’s new movement control and dimmable system, which makes these lights economical and environmentally friendly.
When the system detects movement in an area it switches the lights to 100 percent output, however when the space is empty for longer than five minutes, the lights dim to 50 percent output and then to a hibernation state of only 10 percent output after a further two minutes.
The company hopes that their new system, dubbed Caprice, can help cut annual running costs by as much as £40 per light fitting. Caprice in its hibernation state of 10 percent still provides low level, background safety light and as soon as movement is detected, the lights will go straight up to 100 percent output.
