Prefab homes or I should say prefab micro homes are nothing new for architect Carib Daniel Martin. Earlier he developed a H.E.L.P emergency shelter, a modular concept to solve the challenges of widespread and sudden homelessness in the Gulf region and now he is back and this time not with an emergency shelter but a fully functional prefab that occupies a mere 100 square feet.
This unique product called the MicroHOME will be made commercially for both emergency and non-emergency situations. Don’t go by the small size of this prefab as the architect has done good to integrate all basic amenities in it. MicroHOME comes with a kitchenette, private bath and composting toilet. It also has a porch that can be designed in a number of styles according to the taste of the owner.
The prefab has been aimed at a variety of end users who need such homes for different tasks. The designer has also come up with multiple versions that include a studio, shed and a cabana. Check out some more images after a short scroll of the wheel.
