Eco Factor: Self-sufficient sloop yacht harvests solar energy for sustainability.
Cruising is definitely relaxing and entertaining if you want to get out of the busy life in the city for some peace. However, in doing so, we usually pollute the delicate marine ecosystem with greenhouse gases emitted by the engines of a conventional yacht. Industrial designer Demetrius Tanase, who earlier came up with a similar yacht, the Poseidon, is back again with another solar-powered beauty, dubbed the Marlin Yacht.
The sloop yacht concept also features an energy-harvesting sail, which is laden with flexible photovoltaic cells. The design of the interior is a result of analysis of the connection between the sailor and the sea. The interiors features a lot of window area that lets the occupants easily connect with nature. The concept has enough space for up to eight occupants.
