Lifeline Energy Company has unveiled a new solar-powered digital radio and music playing device for people of rural Africa. The new device, dubbed Lifeplayer, costs up to $120 and is an MP3-enabled radio designed and engineered specifically for the humanitarian sector.

The device flaunts 64GB of storage space that can be utilized to copy music files from microSD cards or to record radio programs. The Lifeplayer isn’t designed for individual or family use, as it has a sound system that can be heard by 60 to 100 people. The device can also be used as tool to deliver education and community level content.
