Designed by Samuel Li, the designer who is known for inventing beautiful lamps, the Leaf Lantern is a solar powered multi-disc lamp. The Leaf lantern comprises of many discs stacked onto each other, each fitted with its own battery. The discs that resemble the ‘leaves’ of the lantern have photovoltaic cells embedded in them, that get charged when sunlight falls on them. Hence, the leaves of the lantern can either be used all in one place or separately in various applications.

Sustainable Lighting

This lantern functions as a completely cordless lamp used for illuminating big spaces indoors and outdoors. Each leaf of the lantern can be used to illuminate dark areas and hence can act as a flashlight in smaller places. The leaves can also be used as decorative lighting units. They also serve auxiliary purposes like acting as candles or inductive charging units for low power devices.
