Power saving has pretty much become a necessity that everyone across the planet is realizing with every passing day. There was a time when you thought you could just use it anyway you want and it has been wasted beyond measure. This is all the more true for lazy souls like me who constantly leave the room with everything switched on and then turn up a good hour later only to switch everything off and leave again. I have been trying to be a better person than that, but it is just all too inevitable.
This Isole IDP-3050 is one smart power strip which can detect your presence with its outboard infrared sensor. When you leave the room, it cuts power to six of its eight outlets, which means that you can still keep a couple of things on as per your requirements. The Isole allows you to not be too bothered about switching stuff off and that is no new habit to many of us as we are already very used to it. It is available at a $90 and for my part I do not think that is a bit too expensive.
Isole works on a very simple system of motion detection or rather detection in regards to heat. I wonder if the system recognizes the difference between a human and a pet or even a rat! If that works, then maybe it is fine. At $90, it is a lot better buy than what I thought of it initially (If you know what I mean).
