Integrated heat pump system promises reduced electric bills

Increasing electricity rates and huge bills are a big problem to cater with. U.S. scientists have found a solution to this problem, they have developed an integrated heat pump with better efficiency that can help in bill reduction.

This pump developed by Oak Ridge National Laboratory can function using half the energy required to operate the traditional pumps. It combines water heating with heating and cooling, dehumidification and ventilation functions. The main saving of the energy is from hot water provided at heat pump efficiencies.

The system uses variable speed components that can modify operating rates to meet current loads. The main aim of this project funded by U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, is to attract a commercial manufacturer by next year.

What so ever the aim may be the invention is a big relief for the consumers?
