Honda plans an affordable new hybrid car

Honda has made some wonderful breakthroughs in the last couple of years in regards to the hybrid technology used by their cars. They have launched a range of both hybrid and electric cars that have paved the path towards sorts of green revolution on the road. Honda has now signaled that it intends to build a hybrid car that is available to all those who intend to go green with their mode of transport.

Honda is planning to launch anew hybrid engine car that is available for everyone who wishes to play his little role in making the roads cleaner and emission free. For this the automobile giants have decided that they will launch a car by 2009 that would be only around $2000 more expensive than its counterpart, which runs on normal fuel. Honda believes that by producing such a car, they will encourage more consumers to go eco friendly with their choice of vehicles. Honda is yet to name this subcompact model and it hopes that it will bring about a revolution in not only those who produce cars but also in those who buy them.

The idea of Honda is indeed good as it allows more people to go out and buy a car that helps the environment. It is normally seen that most buyers back out from buying a hybrid car as it costs a good $5000 or so more than their counterparts that run on gasoline. It is nice that Honda has recognized this fact and has made sure that they launch a model that not only meets high environmental standards but also allows the consumers to take a long hard look at their choice.

It is really logical that Honda have made such a move as there is no point in bringing environmental revolutions only to the board rooms and design wings of big automobile firms. When most consumers are unable to switch to eco friendly technology, then it shows an inherent flaw in the strategy and in the technology. Honda has set out to rectify that very flaw and that is indeed very wise marketing strategy.
