Eco Factor: Lightweight motorcycle powered by electric batteries.
Hirsch Design has unveiled a lightweight all-electric motorcycle, the Comoto, which is planned for production later this year. The 118-pound electric machine is developed using an aircraft-grade T6 aluminum monocoque frame that features twin flat panels, containing the electronics and batteries within.
The bike is capable of hitting a top speed of 40mph and offers a range of 30 miles per two-hour charge. Its brushless motor is powered by a 72V, 20Ah lithium ion phosphate battery pack. With production commencing later this year, the company hasn’t yet announced the expected price.
