Grupo Ibereolica licensed to use CHP’s Solar Water Cracker Technology for 20 years

Grupo Ibereolica has been licensed by Clean Hydrogen Producers (CHP) of Geneva to use their water cracker technology to promote, install and manage solar energy power plants in Spain and Mexico for a limited period of 20 years.

The Water Cracker Technology as the name suggests breaks or cracks water molecules into its constituent ions using nothing more than the energy from the sun. This accounts for a much higher energy conversion rate from solar into electricity. The system is efficient and even allows energy storage for later needs.

Grupo Ibereolica is also waiting approval for a 100 MW wind energy project, but the reduced installation cost of CHP’s technique will allow the company to enter the solar energy arena, and build numerous solar projects.

The company has also stated that CHP’s technology is a very big milestone for renewable energies. The technique reflects the advantages of cost efficiency and energy storage. Grupo Ibereolica is expecting that the use of CHP could reduce the installation cost of the project by a factor of three, and enable the company to surpass the 1,000 MW installed capacity.
