Recently, Popular Science released a list of the greenest 50 U.S. cities and it has been put under the microscope since then. There has been much debate on whether or not the parameters taken in consideration are related at all for a city to be green or not? Parameters like electricity, transport, green living and recycling are obvious choices but some suggest that who’s getting most prosperous using the least energy and such inference-based statistics would be more viable to come a definite conclusion.
It is suggested quite vehemently by Alex Steffen to scare up some grant funding and develop a nationwide system for the U.S., based not on actions taken, but results delivered. A very pertinent point, indeed.
