Auto enthusiasts have often criticized electric cars over the years; some regarded their lack of speed while others judged their lack of purist attributes, which were generally found with their more seemingly robust gas guzzling cousins. But in the recent times, the likes of electric supercars such as the Roadster and Artega SE have vehemently sought to refute that innocuous image. Going along this righteous trend, the German manufacturer e-WOLF is all set to unveil their Alpha-2 Electric Sportscar.

The exquisite linear ramifications blended with some amazingly curvaceous atrributes are enough to make the critics think and change their opinion about electric cars. Above all, the overtly impressive specs, in actuality, define this adamantly green monster. Endowed with two sturdy electric motors, the fascinatingly contrived 187 hp vehicle has a blistering top speed of 240 km/hr (143 mph), with an outstanding acceleration of 0-100 km/hr (0-62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds. Moreover, the intrinsic engine mechanism can romp up to 300 hp with 800 Nm torque for those nigh exhilarating spurts of 30 seconds.

The extended range of 300 km (185 miles) on a single charge is also very unique in terms of the electric supercar standards, while the efficient battery system can be revived up to 80 percent by just 30 minutes of charging. All these, but, comes with an exuberant price tag. Whoever thought awesomeness comes cheap! According to some German sources, the low emission yet high capability vehicle will come at a whopping price of €292,000 (US$ 423,000).
