When the world is moving towards conscious ‘greening’ of the earth, combating global warming, industries from automotives to electronics have banged on the ‘environment friendly’ buzzword for minting money. Never mind, until it servers towards the global environment!
Like other big brands, Casio Computer Co. too did not have a plan to stay behind. It has prototyped a methanol reformate fuel cell. To be used to power a digital camera, it is not just fuel efficient and eco-friendly but is small in size with outputs enough power to drive a digital camera.
The company is planning to have a higher-output version of this prototyped methanol reformate fuel cell that will be able to power a notebook computer! It will start with its project from fiscal 2007.
