Solar energy is something that can be used in plenty and the best part is that apart from the elements, you need not rely on anyone to supply you with a power source. This might not come as a great advantage to many who live in places where you have power 24/7, all your lifetime, but if you live in my city you would exactly know the problem of not having continuous power supply. Anyway, all fuss apart, Flymo allows you to mow your lawn continuously and with the power of the sun.
Designed by a student in his first year in University, Flymo is a gadget that allows you to not worry about your lawnmower and your lawn. It is an automated solar powered lawnmower that does its work without any supervision. The size of the gadget is really small and the design is really cute and that makes it really appealing. The gadget might have many inherent flaws in it that cannot be overlooked, but it is really nice for someone who is designing only in his first year.
The design in all reality looks a bit too small and one does feel that the solar panels on the back of the gadget are too small to make a difference in regards to the energy needs and I would be really surprised if it does last a considerable amount of time. It also makes sure that the power is not from a renewable source, but that does not mean that it is sufficient to run it either. But the effort is truly commendable and to get it from a student in his first year in college is truly nice.
