Eco Factor: Environmentally-friendly skyscraper featuring a green roof.
Brazilian architect Felipe Campolina has unveiled the designs of a futuristic skyscraper that is composed of hundreds of mobile living units. The skyscraper deals with both environmental and social issues with the living units starting from a modular system scaled from the standard OSB plate.
The mobile living units are composed of a steel frame structure, vertical walls and floor in OSB with thermo-acoustic insulation. The tower, where the mobile units are placed is designed as an empty metallic structure equipped with rails on each floor. Each floor can carry a maximum of six independent units, which can be inserted or removed without interfering with the neighbors.
The individual units come with windows in tempered glass, green roofs and walls and can be aligned according to the need. Moreover, the entire system also features a water recycling system to reduce the use of freshwater.
