Eco Factor: Zero-emission motorcycle powered by an electric motor.
Eva Håkansson, a hardcore “EV geek” with a passion for power and speed, is aiming to create a streamlined motorcycle that will be capable of hitting a speed of about 400mph. Eva calls her dream machine the KillaJoule, and by her calculations the KillaJoule will need about 400hp to make a good showing at Bonneville.
Eva isn’t having a dream to hit 400mph off the bat, but is planning to first beat the 176.434mph record set by Kent Riches with the Airtech-Lighting Bolt streamliner motorcycle. There aren’t many details at this point other than the news that Greenstage-Tumanako is providing the motor controller, and a sponsorship deal with A123 is in place for batteries.
Moreover, KillaJoule is expected to be powered by the same cells you’ll find in a cordless drill, but instead of the 10 cells there, the KillaJoule will have 1300.
