Ethereal handmade textile and paper lampshades are fit for a Halloween ball

Not that I intentionally look out for stuff that I can use to decorate my house on Halloween, but spooky stuff like these handmade textile and paper lampshades are pretty hard to miss, if you know what I mean. Created by UK-based designer Julie Roberts, the chilling shades remind me so eerily of cobwebs-laden antiques that line the attic of my crazed distant grand-aunt. The shades measure 40 cm in every direction and are crafted entirely out of recycled paper and natural fibers which only makes us wonder why the designer chose to retail them for a whopping £80. I guess being green does not always translate into pocket-friendly.
