Escraper: A twisted green idea that provides beautiful landscape!

Green architecture is such a rave these days that most of the designers and architects are almost in line to show off their green designs and out do one another. This is not only a tribute to their creativity but also shows the fact that eco-friendly designs are becoming popular. Such a green competition can only be healthy for the planet. This is also a tribute to the fact the modern green structures are not just popular because of the utility value they come with but also the sheer splendor of their design.

Evolo Architecture held a skyscraper competition with the above constraints and announced three winners and six mentions. Of those nine, Daekwon Park has received some attention in the last week. It’s a pretty interesting concept. This is the escraper by Sohta Mori and Yuichiro Minato. Escraper connects three twisted buildings in a modern, but natural way. It has six major green spaces or parks, as well as a mini garden on each level.

The concept is really green and cool. It is nice to see green structures that are built because they not only provide you with that goodness of nature but also add to the landscape. Three twisted building put together and a park in between these gigantic metal structures sounds really awesome. It would be very interesting to see if these winning designs make it to the real world or remain on paper like so many others in the past. I hope they do make it.
