Enthusiast builds the Lithium Hawk EV at home

Lithium Hawk

Canadian engineer Nap Pepin has invented a ‘Lithium Hawk EV’ all by himself. This trike seems like the perfect fantasy of those big, bulky, tattooed, middle aged roadies-you see in movies. The Hawk fetches the eye popping top speed of 197kph and is as good as any other high end trike.

Pepin has used the best technology available on the market. The trike is powered by lithium batteries which gives it first rate acceleration. Lithium batteries are the latest fad, especially in Electric vehicles. Hawk is entirely framed out of aluminum, which makes it light and super fast. In the power section, the main input comes from 1976 lithium cells. These lithium cells power the 50 horse power brushless motor. The trike is not just a power pumping horse as you might expect it to be. If Pepin is to be believed, Hawk can cover up to 240 km in a single charge. This certainly deserves full marks on power and purity.

The Hawk’s physical dimensions are also impressive, the front end is 66 inches wide. The chassis has 11 inches ground clearance, which is quite an improvement for a trike. Seats are light weight and adjustable according to the riders height. The seat sliders are center bar adjustable. The vehicle is still in its experimental stage. Check out the video below, where Papin is riding and talking about the Hawk.
