Eco Factor: Renewable energy generator harvests kinetic energy to produce electricity.
The Energysport is the brainchild of industrial designer Filipe Lima and has been designed to provide bicyclists an easy way to generate renewable energy. The compact device can be attached to the wheels of a bicycle, where it harnesses kinetic energy and converts it into usable electricity.
Fixed to the hub of the wheel, the device can be removed after a biking tour and the harnesses electricity can be used to recharge any portable electronic device. In addition to encouraging environmental sustainability, the device also helps promote the sport.
