The U.S. House of Representatives has got this year’s Energy Bill (HR 3221) that focuses on ways needed to increase the use and generation of renewable energy like that we get from wind.

The bill also includes a Renewable Electricity Standard or RES that will increase the amount of renewable energy used to about 15% by 2020. The bill also focuses on ways to get rid of millions of tons of carbon dioxide and the Udall-Platts Renewable Electricity Standard.

HR 3221 will also include tax benefits for generating wind energy and purchasing a plug-in hybrid. The bill will also require the government to provide steps to ensure that by 2020 U.S. should be able to produce 15% of the energy required by it from renewable sources.
