Eco Factor: Disaster shelter concept for the homeless.
You could be left without a roof over your head within no time, reason could be an earthquake or weather rampage or other catastrophes. Building house for thousands of homeless soon after a natural calamity is not possible. So, Jonathan Ferrer has designed a egg-shaped disaster shelter that can be easily be deployed by anyone, anywhere.
The portable disaster shelter concept comprises a pod that encapsulates the actual design inside, protecting it from other unexpected events. The tripod like structure includes a layer of orange colored legs that creates a weather-resisting shield, which is water- and wind-proof. The hard shell made from strong materials behaves like a durable protective shelter.
