The England-based creative director of Habitat, have again come up with another innovation – this time it’s the result of his experimenting with bio-degradable plastics. Right! Am talking about Maverick design star Tom Dixon. Recently, he has been doing this, and his experiment has given birth to products made from compressed natural materials such as byproducts of coconut, rice and bamboo processing.
Dubbed ‘Eco Ware’ his latest creations include a line of bio-degradable plates, bowls and cups. Bound with a water-soluble polymer, this elegant line of sustainable tableware is 85% bamboo. It rightfully marries elegance with responsibility towards the environment, without any effort.
