Eco Factor: Water purification system utilizes solar energy for cleaning water.
Japan-based engineering house NTT Facilities has developed unique solar-powered water processing plants that seem to be inspired by the shape of UFOs. The water purification system will be able to remove pollutants from 2,400 gallons of water each day.
The system sucks in water from the bottom and shoots clean water out the top creating a fountain, which not only looks great but also helps in keeping the solar panels cool, thereby increasing their efficiency. They are being deployed as part of a year-long effort to revitalize Osaka’s waterfront.
