Eco Factor: 10MW photovoltaic plant developed in Abu Dhabi.
Enviromena Power Systems has announced the completion of the Masdar 10MW Solar Power Plant, which will help the development of Masdar City, which when developed would be the greenest city on the planet. The solar plant will be equipped with a 212,000-square-meter photovoltaic system that will produce about 17,500MWh of clean energy annually.
The array is composed of 87,777 photovoltaic modules that collectively produce over 10MW of clean power to aid Masdar City’s construction process. Apart from greening the construction process the solar plant will offset about 1,500 tons of carbon emissions annually, which is equivalent of 11,000 passengers flying from Abu Dhabi to London.
