Car lovers always find a way to boast their not-so-unique mindset, and the Volvo Seating Unit has been designed for those auto-nerds who want to take their passion into their living rooms too. Inspired from the backlight of a Volvo car, the Volvo seating unit will display your love for the car and the environment too, since this stunning unit has been crafted from sustainable cardboard.
The design has grabbed the first place as a sustainable project designed for the “Volvo For Life Design Awards.” The chair comes with an integrated ottoman and a side table, which can be detached from the main unit when the need arises, and when you need some more space in your living room, simply slide them back into the chair.
The Dark Side:
With cardboard as the only material used in its construction, we are skeptical about the actual time such a chair would be able to serve its owner. In any case, the chair is fantastic if your Volvo-dreams aren’t for long.
