The increase in the demand of energy and the decrease in the levels of fossil fuels has forced architects and designers to think of dwellings that use less space and less energy and still provide all of the usual modern conveniences in stylish, multi-functional spaces.
Sustain Design Studio is working according to the need and have developed a range of sustainable miniHOMEs that are energy-efficient, off-grid and re-locatable. The latest from the design studio is the 12X36 TRIO, a home designed with special consideration for passive cooling and ventilation in a range of temperate to hot climates. The TRIO has a 10’ ceiling and a large master bedroom.
The TRIO sells for $134,990 and come complete with all cabinets, plumbing fixtures and appliances. The house features 12V DC lighting circuits and an AC/DC power center for the renewable power sources. All the wood used in the construction comes from FSC certified sources and are formaldehyde-free.
