Eco Factor: Ecofriendly phones made from recycled plastic.
As a part of company’s GreenHeart effort, Sony Ericsson has launched two new cellphones that boast ecofriendly credentials. The two cellphones, dubbed the Elm and the Hazel, are made from recycled plastic and eliminate the use of toxic materials.
The green phones are trendy on the technical side as well, as they come equipped with a 5.0 megapixel autofocus cameras and media players. The cellphones also feature a Walk Mate application that shows how users can get to a destination by walking instead of driving and if you really listen to these phones and walk to your destination, the phone also shows you how much CO2 you’re saving.
Both the devices will come with energy-efficient chargers. The onboard battery holds up to 10 hours of talk time in GSM mode or 3 hours of talk time in video mode.
