Eco Factor: E-ink display for point-of-sale adverts developed by Neoluxiim.
We’ve been wondering about the uses of solar energy and till date we haven’t been left untreated any day with a new gadget that is powered by sunlight and eliminates the use of toxic one-time-use batteries. Today belongs to a Korean company called Neoluxiim, which has showcased the use of solar energy in e-ink displays.
The company has unveiled its first solar-powered e-ink display that is being flagged for point-of-sale advertisements. The display is entirely powered by light, which the company claims can not necessarily be sunlight as the device works just as well with indoor lighting as well. The device is expected to work for up to 18 months. The display is just 7.5mm altogether thick and the maximum display size is 26x12cm.
