Eco Factor: iPod dock designed to be powered by solar energy.

After making some waves with the ReNu solar-powered iPod docking station, Regen has unveiled the ReVerb, a gargantuan iPod dock that too like its younger brother is powered by solar energy. The 3-foot-tall iPod dock will kick out an equivalent of a room-filling 60W and carries a backlit LCD display to keep you informed about the status of the system.

The ReVerb includes a flat panel speaker with stereo drivers and a 6-inch sub-woofer which provides an output of 6W with a frequency range of 50Hz to 20KHz. The flat panel system can fully charge its onboard batteries with 20 hours of sun exposure or 40 hours of indoor light exposure. The company believes that the system can work for three hours after three hours of exposure or about six hours of indoor light exposure.

The system can also be charged using a traditional electric outlet. The only downside is that the ReVerb only supports AAC format audio, which means that you will only be able to hook in a player that supports that format. The Regen ReVerb will be available in April next year with a price tag of $2299.
