Regen Inc. has announced that the company will debut its eye-catching and the most technologically advanced personal solar capture and storage device ever created in Phoenix, where it will appear at the prestigious i-stage competition.

The ReNu system carries a ReNu panel, a freestanding power module containing solar cells, a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and an intelligent user interface. The solar panel can either be hung or placed in direct light to harvest solar energy. When fully charged the device can be connected with one of the several extensions to charge a wide range of gadgets.

The device’s intelligent user interface lets the user know the amount of solar energy harvested and the amount of charge left on its battery. The company claims that a fully charged device will be able to charge an iPhone two times. The device is expected to hit the market in February 2010 with the base model retailing for $199.
