The Lighthouse is a lamp and a tabletop greenhouse that aims to change people’s attitude toward the environment. As the lamp glows the heat and the light produced will mimic sunlight, which will further be used up by a plant that is planted inside the lamp. The lamp will be supplied with a humidity sensor, which will sound an alarm if the plant needs water. The base is a removable pot, which can be accessed to transplant or fertilize.
The Dark Side:
The system needs warmth, which means LEDs cannot be used inside the lamp for illumination. Without LEDs, the lamp will consume a large amount of energy.
