Eco Factor: Solar-energy harvesting backpacks with iPod control.

KILLA has partnered with QIO Systems to develop Vintage Series #1 bags that are made from 50-yeard old German vintage backpacks and satchels that were used during the Second World War. The backs have been chosen according to their physical condition so that they can serve their new users for a period of another 50 years.

QIO Systems will provide KILLA their PANiQ textile interface and modules to control iPhone/iPod and other Bluetooth enabled devices. The solar panels come from Solarc, which can provide power on-the-move to a variety of gadgets, or can also store it in a built-in battery pack for future use. Considering the uniqueness of the bags, KILLA will be producing just 20 bags each year.
