What might prove to be the final nail in the coffin of incandescent bulbs, GlacialLight has launched their newest LED light bulb known as the MR16 LED. The new bulb is a technical update to the previous MR16 bulbs available on the market today. The new bulbs get a much advanced dedicated power source that is Energy Star Certified and is claimed to convert more than 80% of energy to light. With a 2-year warranty period, the LED bulbs are stated to have a lifetime of more than 35,000 working hours.
The Dark Side:
Apart from the high cost of LED bulbs, there is no doubt that they are here to put a complete end to halogen and incandescent bulbs.
