Eco Factor: Modified Wii-Mote has body made of hemp and natural fibers.
With videogames getting more graphical and with companies like Nintendo and Sony launching new and better products, their use is no longer limited to kids. We all love playing games but a modder took up the task of cleaning and greening the plastic consoles we are accustomed to. Known by the name of DHRECK, the modder took a Nintendo Wii-Mote and a Nunchuk, removed the hard plastic casing and replaced it with three kinds of 100% natural hemp string. This modification however, does not have any effect on the gaming capabilities of both the devices, which still are 100% playable and are claimed to work just like their plastic counterparts.
The Dark Side:
The use of natural fibers not only makes the devices fragile but also prone to anything liquid and degradation. With the amount of money one pays for a device like the Nintendo Wii-Mote and Nunchuk and the time spent in the hemp modifications, no one would really want to be playing with sweaty hands.
