Eco Factor: LED garden lighting system powered by solar energy.
Energy is hard to come by and inventors have focused on green lighting systems that reduce energy consumption. When it comes to illuminating your home and garden in a green way, LEDs take the first bench, being the most energy-efficient lighting devices. Combine that with solar energy and you get a perfectly green setting for your lawn and garden. Poland-based designer Ewa Bona has done exactly that in a lighting device called the Eco Garden Light.
The spherical LED lights are charged via the case in which they’re installed. The case carries a solar panel and stores electrical charge in an on-board battery. This charge is then used to power the LEDs, which can be dimmed by simply twisting their shells. The design also allows the lights to be positioned at any angle to bring a special plant in the focus.
