Eco Factor: Portable speakers powered by solar energy.
The latest advancements in technology have made people forget CDs and store their favorite music on their portable media devices. However, since most of these devices, be it cellphones or iPods, don’t come with high-quality integrated speakers, users are mostly left to listening music on their earphones. UK-based Devotec Industries has delivered what many people in the world would have been longing for.
The company has released the world’s first Bluetooth Stereo Speakers, known as Solar Sound, which are powered by clean solar energy. The device plays music through 2 X 2W speakers, which according to the company offer superior sound quality. The device can be connected to most cellphones and music players wirelessly but if your PMP isn’t equipped for wireless transfer, you can also connect your device with a wire.
The device captures solar energy during the day, which is stored in a built-in battery for use when the sun isn’t shining. The device features touch sensitive controls. The company claims that the 150mA solar panel is enough to keep the device going for 4 hours at max volume.
