Eco Factor: Low emission vehicle powered by a hybrid engine.
Subaru has announced that the company will be showcasing its Hybrid Tourer concept at the Tokyo Motor Show to be held next week. The vehicle is Subaru’s first major initiative toward the green auto segment and will be powered by a diesel/electric hybrid engine.
The vehicle packs a four-cylinder 2-0-liter turbo boxer engine, which is coupled with a pair of electric motors that provide regenerative braking to top-up the batteries. The vehicle can be driven in an all-electric mode with a lithium-ion battery pack providing the necessary propulsion.
