Eco Factor: Concept CV car to use solar energy for its massive electronic gear.

It seems that Japanese car maker Nissan is unfazed by the economic crisis, which has already closed doors for many car manufacturers in the world. The company has announced the brand’s entry into the CV market in North America in 2010, with their new monster car called the Nissan NV2500. The 19.5-foot long, 8-foot-tall car will house all that one requires for a mobile conference. The best part is that all that will be powered by solar panels resting on the roof of this beast.

The “Wall-less” car will mostly feel like an office on wheels, with an integrated computer workstation, fold-down conference table, storage compartments, cargo/tool lie down racks and enough head space to allow the management to stand and deliver. The car comes with a fixed glass roof to let in the sunlight and provide natural illumination. The headlights and the taillights all come with LEDs to allow maximum energy-efficiency.

The interiors of the car are no less than one of those offices you would regularly love to visit. With a 3-Zone interior in place, the car boasts a passenger seat that functions just the way it should and also as a swiveling desk chair. All elements on the inside of the car are designed to function in more than one way, allowing more empty spaces in the car which then turn it into a mobile office.

The Dark Side:

The solar energy generated by the photovoltaic panels on the car’s roof only power the massive electronics incorporated in the car. The engine of the car would not be a zero-emission one. However, the car would definitely be able to do what it intends to do in an ecofriendly way.
