Eco Factor: Fuel saving engines and fuel-efficient car announced by Mazda.
Later than we expected, Mazda has finally started working on green cars that consume less and offer more. The company has unveiled the Kiyora, a compact and lightweight concept car that gets powered by a 1.3 liter SKY-G direct injection engine.
The car gets a decent 75 miles on a gallon of fuel and features a new SKY six-speed automatic transmission, regenerative braking, i-stop (idle start/stop) system along with a 220 pound reduction in weight than any current Mazda production car. The company will also be unveiling next-gen SKY-D clean diesel engines at the Tokyo Motor Show to be held next month.
