Eco Factor: Low-emission hybrid car for Progressive Automotive X-Prize.
Designed by Future Vehicles Technology, the eVARO hybrid three-wheeled car is one of the top contenders for the Progressive Automotive X-Prize scheduled to be held in May 2010. The vehicle can reach 60mph in just five seconds and according to the developers, it has the potential to go 275 miles on a single gallon of fuel.
With an all-electric range of 90 miles, the eVARO produces no emissions for 90% of its time on the road and can radically change the automotive industry of today. The vehicle’s three-wheeled design improves efficiency and cornering performance by reducing the overall weight of the car.
