Eco Factor: Fuel efficient yacht uses solar energy when docked.
Designed by Luis Villalobos Jr, the Sylvia Nancy Yacht can make your weekend water trips interesting, luxurious and above all, green. The 76m yacht is designed to run on a fuel-efficient diesel/electric powerhouse, which gets a certain amount of energy from the yacht’s roof-mounted solar panels.
The concept yacht offers a list of luxuries as well, which includes alluring sun lounges, sun decks, an outdoor bar lounge and a movie screening room to keep the passengers entertained. The concept maximizes outdoor seating arrangements on the aft decks. A couple of Jacuzzis and sun lounges can also be found below the master deck.
Another interesting aspect of the yacht is its capability to harness the energy of the sun. The solar electricity generated by the system can be used as an alternate source of power and a primary source of energy to power all of the yacht’s electrical systems when the yacht is docked.
