Eco Bike: Yahoo’s eco-friendly camera bike

EcoFactor: Hi-tech solar powered bike.

Yahoo’s newest bike is a complete showstopper. Unlike other bikes, this design retains the “regular” bicycle look and feel. But I have to admit that this one is nothing like your typical bike! A GPS and geotagging-equipped, wired, solar-powered, photo-sharing bike certainly is drool worthy, isn’t it? Well that’s what this purple colored bicycle does. It dabs a shade of femininity, but trust me, a bike that does so much certainly qualifies as unisex.

These bikes are a part of the company’s new “Start Wearing Purple” marketing campaign. There are around 20 such bikes worldwide with GPS and Wi-Fi-enabled cameras that document the view from the handlebars once every minute. These photos are then instantly uploaded to a Flickr photo stream. Seriously, I could kill to get one of these!

The Dark Side:
Extra features that are unobtrusive to the “regular” benefits of a bike has always been a killer concept, this bike does that. I am still wow-ing over it, only a moron can spot a flaw on such an ultra-cool eco-friendly bike!
