Eco Factor: Concept structure heats water with solar energy and plays wind generated sounds.

Designers over at Macosh Design have designed a power base station to compliment the re-vegetation project called Muscheln Marina. The Solaria system is designed to function as a power base station which creates a unique space for having rest and entertainment using the renewable sources of energy.

The Solaria system uses solar heat to heat water which can be used for cooling, heating swimming pools and even taking a shower on the beach. During summers the system would be able to harness more heat which could enable it to serve as a local heating system. During winters when the solar heat is at its minimum, the system harnesses it to heat water to prolong the swimming season.

Apart from generating solar heat for multiple uses, the system also creates a musical environment, which is powered by solar energy. “Solaria” consists of 34 strings that are installed on the face of the system. These strings use the windy conditions to create sounds like that of a big guitar or a harp to even better the experience.
