EcoFactor: Crafting a cafe out of cardboards which bring out the message of reuse and recycling in a classy new way.

The London Design Festival 08 is throwing up some really unique and classy designs. Architecture seems to have found a new path and designers have found a new outlet with green and eco-friendly concepts. The Cardboard Cafe at the Design Festival captures the essence of recycling and reuse in a beautiful and subtle fashion. Crafted by b3 designers; the structure acts as a cafe in the morning time and serves as a bar in the late hours. The seats and the tables are also all modified cardboard and the cardboards are held together by numerous hot glue guns. The drinks were served in cardboard glasses and even the guests were encouraged to wear cardboard!

The Dark Side:

The structure is surely not an enduring one, and hence this is no solution for providing any type of shelter for the homeless. This is not so much a work of recycling as it is a piece of art, and hopefully designs like this will encourage people to use more green material in construction.
