Eco Factor: Eco-friendly helicopter powered by biofuel.
European aerospace giant EADS is all ready to unveil the world’s first aircraft that is powered by algae fuel. The firm will present the helicopter at the Berlin Air Show that runs from June 9 to 13. The developers claim that a paradigm shift is needed in the aviation industry that is mostly criticized for emissions.
The aircraft, which is a helicopter, will be powered by renewable fuel that comes from slimy, fast-growing and full of fat, algae. Algae is also useful for its ability to gobble up carbon dioxide from the air.
