So we have moved on from building simple torches and Grey Water Systems to building a whole submarine. Now is that one heck of a progress, or what? It seems soon we are going to tell you how to build a solar powered space shuttle and an ether powered star-ship enterprise! Actually, we are not going to tell you all that, but we sure are doing well with the solar power. You may not ever get to build a full scale submarine, but this little solar powered toy which even has depth control, will allow you to maneuver your craft through deep and murky waters! (Yes, it’s stunning).
This submarine is so simple because of the use of a laminated/molded solar module, waterproof by itself and by skipping any attempts to waterproof the connections or the motor. Don’t worry, many simple electric motors do withstand running when immersed in water. Some of them might corrode somewhat after use, making starting up the next time a little difficult, but you will mostly not have even that problem.
